numerous hours have been sunk in this modern rendering of the wood etching from 1693. the result is a highly detailed illustration and one of the best artworks of me (the artist) as of now.

(Dunnottar Castle is a medieval castle in modern day scotland which has functioned as both a fortress to be fought over as well as a prison. it is also the location at which the scotish crown jewels have been hidden from invading armies in the 17th century)
